Eric Lopez has served as the Director of Event Operations for B.A.S.S. since 2003, overseeing all aspects of event staging for the world’s most prestigious bass fishing tournaments, including the Bassmaster Classic and the Bassmaster Elite Series. In this role, he is responsible for site selection, design, logistics and execution of every event, working closely with host cities, tourism boards, sponsors and television production teams to deliver world-class experiences broadcast on FOX Sports, ROKU and bassmaster.com.
A veteran of the live events industry with more than 30 years of experience, Lopez has played key roles in producing some of the most high-profile sporting and cultural events around the globe. His résumé includes operational leadership for World Cup Soccer, multiple Olympic Games, Turner Sports’ Goodwill Games, the Special Olympics World Games, and the White House Millennium Celebration.
Before joining B.A.S.S., Lopez spent 10 years with ESPN Productions, where he helped lead event operations for a broad portfolio of live sporting events — two of which earned Sports Emmy Awards.
Lopez brings deep expertise in venue management, sponsorship fulfillment, AutoCAD site design, purchasing, safety and security planning, vendor negotiations, governmental relations, and crowd logistics. Known for his calm leadership and tireless attention to detail, he has become one of the most trusted names in event operations across the sports industry.
Outside of his professional role, Lopez is an accomplished marathon runner, having competed in races throughout the U.S. and internationally.
