Pueblo, CO — Ft. Carson Kids Fishing Day is set to take place this Saturday, October 16th, at the beautiful Pueblo Reservoir State Park, providing a special day of outdoor fun and fishing for children military families from Ft Carson.
Created as a heartfelt way to give back to the brave men and women serving our country, Ft. Carson Kids Fishing Day offers children the chance to experience the joys of fishing and being on a boat — many for the very first time. Fishing clubs and dedicated volunteers from across the state will be on hand to guide and support the kids throughout the morning, ensuring a safe and memorable experience.
Colorado BASS Nation has partnered with Ft. Carson Family Homes, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife to make this event possible, strengthening community ties and supporting military families in meaningful ways.
This event celebrates and honors the sacrifices made by military families while fostering community spirit and encouraging a lifelong love of nature and outdoor activities.

“We are proud to offer this day as a small token of appreciation to the families who give so much for our country,” said Brandon Genova, President of Colorado BASS Nation and lead coordinator of Ft. Carson Kids Fishing Day. “Watching these kids catch their first fish or experience a boat ride for the first time is truly inspiring.”
“Getting kids outdoors, away from screens and social media, to connect with nature and each other is more important than ever,” Genova added. “This event helps unplug them from gaming machines and brings smiles, fresh air, and a sense of adventure they’ll remember for a lifetime. And, of course stories about the one that got away.”
Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring sunscreen. The event organizers will provide all fishing gear and safety equipment.
