50 pros punch ticket to EQ Division at St. Lawrence River

Division 1 of the 2025 St. Croix Bassmaster Open presented by SEVIIN is now complete. That means the first 50 anglers have punched their tickets to the Nitro Elite Qualifier Division, a three-tournament gauntlet that will decide who will join the 2026 Progressive Bassmaster Elite Series roster.

These 50 anglers began the season at Clarks Hill Reservoir in January before taking on the Tombigbee River in April and then the Upper Chesapeake Bay and St. Lawrence River in July/August.

Alabama’s Lucas Lindsay claimed the Angler of the Year in the Division with 757 points. The Auburn grad was consistent all year, putting together third, 28th, second and 14th-place finishes to claim the title.

Virginia’s Ryan Lachniet finished second with 756 points. The Campbellsville University angler earned finishes of ninth, 20th, 14th and fourth. Alabamian Matt Adams finished third with 747 points, Tyler Campbell finished fourth with 737 points and Connor Jacob earned fifth with 716 points. Russ Lane, Michael Neal, Chase Clarke, Hayden Gaddis and Chris Blanchette rounded out the Top 10.

The following anglers will join 50 anglers for Division II in the Elite Qualifier round, which begins at Lake Champlain Sept. 18-20. Anglers will then travel to Wheeler Lake Oct. 2-4 before capping off the season at Lake Okeechobee Nov. 13-15. All points earned in respective divisions will be zeroed.
